LTER-Serbia is a network of research sites and research institutions founded in December 2008 and accepted as official member of the global LTER network, ILTER in August 2009.
LTER-Serbia network brings together Serbian research institutions and scientists to collectively participate in creating research infrastructure for answering pressing questions in a world of rapid environmental change. From its very beginning, national LTER network of Serbia, is actively participating in international inititatives and projects related to long term ecological research. Serbian research sites are promoting long term and interdisciplinary research on biodiversity conservation within different ecosystems.
National LTER network of Serbia is supported by the Ministry Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia.
